[14.10.08] - Marshall is supporting upcoming bands
The one and only Terry Marshall was in Germany to head the Emergenza International Jury. If you are not familiar with the Marshall name, then you should not be into music. For the last 40 odd years Marshall Amplifiers have shaped the sound of rock. All the songs you hear on the radio, all the best rock/pop/metal and what have you style of music play Marshall Amps. Terry and his father, Jim, are single handedly responsible for the sound of today. Without Marshall there would not be The Who, Jim Hendrix, Gun'n'Roses, The Police and Hundreds of Others. Not only is Marshall the most famous name in Rock, but their amplifiers go to 11 (fill here other spinal tap references please).
Q) Marshall is the most famous name in amplifiers already so you don't need an introduction, Emergenza is working with musicians on a global scale but obviously on a "ground level", meaning, we are “nurturing the stars of tomorrow”….. Am I right in saying that the Marshall-Emergenza association is a labour of love to help new talent spring up?
Terry: Working with Emergenza to support new talent is really a natural continuation for us. When we built our first amplifier in 1962 it was for customers such as The Who, and Eric Clapton, who were then unsigned artists at the beginning of their careers, just like the musicians I saw at this year's Emergenza final.
At every Emergenza Festival concert Marshall will provide special edition guitar and bass amps on stage.

[13.10.08] - Royal Republic (Swedish 2008 winners) in Paris
For many years the Emergenza Festival has been the world leading festival for upcoming bands. Every year we seek to offer more and more opportunities for the participating bands. From the 2009 season we will be able to offer selected Nordic bands the possibility of playing concerts in Munich, Hamburg, Berlin and London besides the concerts in the biggest and best venues in their own country/region.
To kick start our new collaboration with some of our "sister festivals" in Europe we sent last seasons Swedish winners "Royal Republic" to Paris where they played a showcase in the previous weekend.
If you also want to get the possibilities we can offer your band - enrol today to ensure your band a spot in the 2009 festival!
Just click "sign up" in the menu and follow the instructions...

[01.09.08] - WORLD PREMIER THIS WEEKEND IN BERGEN!
Since the early 1990's the Emergenza Festival has been the world's largest festival for upcoming bands. Every year new cities join the festival, and in the coming week we are proud to welcome Bergen as a festival city. Spread the word and let's meet in front of stage at HULEN to support the upcoming music scene in Bergen.
See you Thursday, Friday and Saturday!

[11.08.08] - THE TWO NORDIC WINNERS MADE GREAT IMPRESSIONS IN GERMANY
In the past weekend the two Nordic winners - Tako Lako (DK) and The Ran (FIN) - played some awesome shows at the Taubertal Open Air Festival in Germany as part of the international Emergenza Festival final 2008. In the end though it was the British band Gloria Cycles who won the international final.
Enrolment is now possible in all Nordic countries for the next festival season. Please click sign up in the menu and follow the instructions.

[02.06.08] - THE NORDIC WINNERS ARE: "TAKO LAKO" (DK) AND "THE RAN" (FIN)
This years Nordic final took place at Debaser Medis in Stockholm this weekend. More than 500 nordic bands took part in the Emergenza Festival 2008 and now it was up to the jury to decide which two bands who are going to represent the Nordic countries in the international final at Taubertal Open Air in Germany in August 2008. Tako Lako (DK), The Ran (FIN), Faen Hell (N) and Royal Republic (S) each won their national final and the jury chose Tako Lako and The Ran.
We would like to congratulate all bands that took part in the finals this year and we would like to invite you to enrol your own band to the 2009 Emergenza Festival!

[26.05.08] - THE LINE-UP FOR THE NORDIC FINAL IS READY!
This Saturday 16 of Norway's best bands played at Rockefeller in Oslo. In front of a fantastic crowd they gave their best performance ever. The jury selected the hip-hop act "Faen Hell" as this years Norwegian winner, and they will play together with the winners from Sweden, Denmark and Finland in the Nordic final in the coming weekend.
